Made to measure: shirts, suits, trousers and monogramming
Made to measure means a garment cut to your measurements rather than a size label. This page explains what is measured, what can be customised, and how monogramming works — the same options shoppers see inside the customizer.
Made-to-measure shirts
Shirts are cut from your own chest, shoulder, sleeve and torso measurements, so the collar sits flat and the sleeve ends where it should.
- Guided sizing from height, weight and body shape — no tape measure required to start.
- Precise mode for collar, half chest, shoulder width, sleeve length, bicep, wrist and torso length.
- Collar, cuff, placket and pocket styling options chosen before the garment is cut.
- Optional monogram in Great Vibes script, placed on cuff or chest.
Made-to-measure suits
Jackets and trousers are built to a single set of measurements, with the construction details chosen up front rather than altered afterwards.
- Lapel, button stance, pocket style and back vent selected during customisation.
- Lining chosen to match or contrast the outer fabric.
- Trousers cut to your waist, hip, rise, thigh and leg length.
- Interior monogram available on the lining.
Made-to-measure trousers
Trousers are the garment standard sizing fails most often. Waist, seat and rise are measured independently so the fit does not depend on a single size label.
- Waist, hips, rise, thigh, leg length and leg opening captured individually.
- Stomach shape accounted for so the waistband sits level.
- Pleat, cuff and pocket options where the style allows.
Monogramming
Monograms are embroidered as part of production, not applied afterwards, so the thread sits into the weave of the fabric.
- Up to 10 characters for shirt and suit monograms, 25 for other items.
- Great Vibes script, rendered live before you add to cart.
- Thread colour and placement selected during customisation.
- Adds a short, stated amount of time to production.
Common questions
- What does made to measure mean?
- Made to measure means each garment is cut to a set of measurements you provide, rather than picked from a fixed size chart. It sits between off-the-rack sizing and full bespoke tailoring: the pattern is standard, the dimensions are yours.
- How accurate do my measurements need to be?
- Within about a centimetre is enough. The customizer combines your height, weight and body shape with any precise measurements you enter, and flags values that fall outside the expected range before you order.
- Can I order made to measure without measuring myself?
- Yes. Guided sizing derives a starting fit from height, weight and body shape alone. Adding precise measurements improves accuracy but is optional.
- Can made-to-measure garments be monogrammed?
- Yes. Monogramming is offered on shirts, suits and selected other items, with the text, placement and thread colour chosen during customisation.
